Gensol Engineering Limited, founded in 2012, is a part of the Gensol group of companies, which specialize in providing EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and solar advisory services. The company offers a range of services, including technical due diligence, detailed engineering, quality control, construction supervision, and other consulting services for solar projects, both in India and internationally. Gensol provides a comprehensive suite of services across the solar industry value chain, offering advisory services to leading project developers, institutions, solar EPC companies, and government policymakers. In its EPC business, Gensol manages turnkey engineering, construction, and procurement contracts with a team of over 180 engineers. So far, the company has successfully erected solar power plants with a total capacity of over 188 MW on both ground-mounted and rooftop installations. Gensol operates internationally, providing consulting services in countries such as Kenya, Ukraine, Oman, Gabon, Sierra Leone, Nepal, Afghanistan, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Chad, with an ongoing EPC project in Egypt. In March 2015, Gensol entered into a joint venture with Solarig N-Gage SA, Spain, which focuses on operating, constructing, and owning photovoltaic solar parks. Additionally, Gensol established a subsidiary, Gensun Renewable Pvt Ltd, in 2018 to work on power production generation and sales under the RESCO (Renewable Energy Service Company) business model. Recently, Gensol Engineering was appointed as a technical consultant to NTPC for EPC vendors for ground-mounted, floating, and rooftop solar PV projects for a period of two years, from September 25, 2019, to September 24, 2021.
