Polymatech Electronics Limited, originally incorporated as Polymatech Electronics Private Limited on May 29, 2007, is recognized as India’s first manufacturer of opto-semiconductor chips. The company operates a manufacturing facility in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, and has also acquired a Built-to-Suit (BTS) facility in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. Its products mainly include fully packaged opto-semiconductor chips and luminaires, which are LED lighting solutions used for commercial applications. The company started producing opto-semiconductor chips in 2019 and uses advanced European and Japanese technologies to manufacture products that meet international quality standards. It handles the entire process from design, fabrication, manufacturing, packaging, and assembly of the chips, which are then sold directly to customers and also used in its own luminaire products. These lighting solutions have been installed at several locations including factories, temples, and stadiums such as Vishay Precision Group, Shin-Etsu Japan, Sawai Mansingh Stadium, and Parthasarathi Temple in Chennai. The global opto-semiconductor market is expected to grow from about USD 43,780 million in 2022 to USD 59,224 million by 2028, driven mainly by rising demand from the automotive and infrastructure sectors, which could create strong growth opportunities for the company.
