Muthoot Microfin

Incorporated in April 1992, Muthoot Microfin Limited is a microfinance institution that provides small loans mainly to women in rural areas to support income generating activities. As of December 31, 2022, it is the fourth largest NBFC-MFI in India by gross loan portfolio, the largest in Kerala and the third largest in South India. The company also has a strong presence in Tamil Nadu with around 16% market share. As of March 31, 2023, Muthoot Microfin serves 2.77 million customers through 1,172 branches in 321 districts across 18 states and union territories, supported by a workforce of 10,227 employees.
